Anticipation

Teeth grated for bad news.
Let the skeletons of snakes
spew from the mailbox
like a firework for a funeral.
Let it just be today.
Head twisted thumbs
in palms
praying murmurs in the purplist sleep.
The feather white rectangle folded twice
will announce Mike, Please
Wait Permanently.
Stomach suspending in the atmosphere,
it stretches another cinch tighter.

Smoking Poet

BREAKING NEWS

A sonnet I wrote in college is going to be included in the November 15th edition of The Verse Marauder. It's an honor because my poem is not as good as any of the ones in this month's edition.

Another poem I wrote is going to be included in an upcoming anthology called Migraine: Expressions published by Word Metro. If you are or have ever known someone who suffers from migraine headaches, you NEED to check this out.
